Introduction

By downloading, installing, or using Cockpit Panels (hereinafter referred to as "Cockpit"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our software.

1. License and Access

Cockpit grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use our software for your personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms and the specific license tier you have purchased. Each license is valid only for the number of installations and features specified at the time of purchase.

2. Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Modify, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code of Cockpit
  • Remove or circumvent any technological measures or licensing mechanisms within the software
  • Create derivative works based on Cockpit
  • Distribute, sublicense, lease, rent, loan, or otherwise transfer the software to any third party
  • Use the software for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to bypass license validation measures or authentication systems

3. Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Ensuring that all use of your account complies with these Terms
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account
  • Implementing appropriate security measures to protect your installation

4. License Enforcement

Cockpit reserves the right to:

  • Implement technical measures to validate license authenticity
  • Terminate or suspend your license without prior notice if we detect violations
  • Disable or deactivate licenses that show signs of unauthorized use or distribution

All rights, title, and interest in and to Cockpit remain with Cockpit Panels. You agree not to remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices incorporated in or accompanying the software.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Cockpit provides the software "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • Cockpit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the software
  • We do not warrant that the software will meet your requirements or operate without interruption or error

7. Changes to Terms

Cockpit reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of our software after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in the United Kingdom.

9. Termination

Cockpit may terminate your license and access to the software at any time for any reason, including but not limited to your breach of these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the software and destroy all copies in your possession.
